Update 2009: Black and white print mounted on dark grey matboard. Same image as 2001.861.0016. Dinner honoring American Car race of 1908. Group of men seated and standing on either side of dining table. American flag hung on wall behind table. Streamers above table. Stars and stripes. Light poles wrapped in colored streamers. Men dressed in suits and ties.
Written on emulsion surface in blue ink are numbers for identification of some of the men.
Written on back in black ink: "L.J. Nelson N.Y. to P. 1907".
Written on back in blue ink: "New York to Paris Auto Races-Banquet given in the U.P. Railroad Depot dining room in 1907. The east end of depot was a dining room at that time. Railroad offices now. Mounted on acidic matboard. mat cut down from original size-upper border gone and edge rough. Right side rough. Ink mark directly on emulsion surface. Mat slightly soiled and scuffed front and back. Image surface slightly soiled and scratched.
