Five soldiers walking down "Main" street, Rawlins. Update 3/2010: Sepia print. Snapshot. Mounted on tan matboard. 1951.162.0341 mounted on back. Image of five soldiers walking down a wide dirt street toward the camera. They appear to be at an intersection of two streets. Buildings in the background include the Corner Saloon; Exchange Saloon; Baker and the Corner Grocery. Mounted on acidic matboard. Cut down from original size-even with photo edges on this side, uneven on back. Mat slightly warped. Emulsion missing in 1 1/8" strip on upper edge right. Dents and scratches in emulsion. Soiled. Faded. Note: This image is not physically numbered. One 5 x 7 1/8" black & white copy print. Stamped on back in black ink: "Neg. No. 5921" "Copy provided by Wyoming State Archives & Historical Department" Written on back in blue ink: "Photograph taken after1900 lots 12 thru 22 Block 23 400 Block N. Front St." Written in pencil on paper taped to back: "Vacant lot shows as dwelling in 1883. 1891 John Osborne property owner. 6-1900 Osborne built store building to be Harry Graham Barber Shop. 1-90 M.W. Dillon Bank Exchange Saloon. 11-92 Johnson Co. 4-95 Kaspar the Tailor. 12-01 Bay Window removed. 2-95 to 6-1899 Capitol Restaurant W. s. Anderson Tall building 1885 - 6- 1888 D. C. Kelly" Writing in red pencil underneath paper not readable. Good Condition. Irregular emulsion. Paperclip mark in upper left. Writing on back impacting emulsion in upper right. Upper corners bent - emulsion cracked. Emulsion scratched & cracked throughout. Upper edge cut - irregular. Update March 2011: One black & white copy print (size 5 x 7 1/8" Stamped on back in black: "Copy Provided by the Wyoming State Archives & Historical Department" "Neg No. Print No. 5925" Good condition. Liquid spot, slight crease, scratched. Size 5 x 7 1/8"
