Description

Black and white glossy print of a group of six men dressed in cowboy and western wear on the sidewalk in front of the State Capitol in Cheyenne. Man on left is wearing leather chaps with black diamond, heart, spade and club emblems in a row on outer wing of chaps. He has a gun belt with cartridges and a pistol in holster around waist. His shirt is medium tone with a kerchief around his neck and tied in front knot. He is rolling a cigarette and wearing a light wide brimmed hat. Man in middle of row is wearing Angora chaps. man on right identified as W.W. Daley is wearing dark western pants, patterned shirt with upturned collar with tie around neck and ends tucked into shirt. He holds a tin cup in his right hand and cookies in his left . A light colored hat with wide brim is tilted back on his head. On a tiny clear sticker on bottom right corner is W.W. Daley typed on sticker. Massive steps rise in background extending to portico porch. There is a loose mat with photo with manilla tape remnants on back showing that items were removed from a frame. Matboard is lighter color where tape has been removed. Written on back in black ink: The Daley Collection. Second from left W.W. Daley at right. Ross Alcorn second from left. Good condition with slight yellowing, light scratches. Some dimpling and large smudge mark (whitish) right corner at top edge.
