A buckskin leather doll, called a Poor Soul Doll, made in the late 1800's. Doll is 10" high and 4" wide at widest part. Has trade cloth loin cloth, decorated with old tiny beads on upper chest and down the sides of the leather leggings and on the top and side feet, primarily with light blue, dark blue, red, and white. Real human hair was used, and is in 2 loose braids held with leather lacing. Beaded eyes, nose, and mouth. Doll was used extensively and has been wet as the leather is hard.Collection
