Description

A demonstration Sioux War Bonnet made by Leo Walking Bull in 1980. Headdress has headpiece with 32 fake feathers attached, real horse hair tassels, real ermine (weasel) skins hanging down behind each 2" beaded star medallion on the ear sides and 1 1/4" center front strip with geometric design. This type of headdress was usually the sign of a brave man (stealing horses, battle, etc.) and not the chief. Blue fuzzies are above the leather strips at the bottom of the feathers.
