Update 2009: Black and white studio portrait print attached to a cream colored mat which has "Brown Rawlins Wyo" and tiny decorative blue green border print on lower edge. Print shows Lou J. Nelson wearing a dark suit jacket, with shirt with high neck stick collar and light colored tie. He has extremely curled hair on top and parted side right of center. He appears to have light colored eyes.
Written on back in blue ink: "L.J. Nelson 1897"
Written on back in pencil: "Rs to Chian[sic] Cheyenne?"
Written on back lower area of mat in black ink: "Train schedule: Chian to Denver, April 6, 97.

Fair condition due to extreme soiling and wear of print and mat. There are many black smudges at various locations. Minor scuffs, scratches, and lifting of emulsion at various areas along top and side edges. Slight fading.Collection
