Left moccasin in case 19, shelf A1 and right moccasin in storage 7D shelf 3. One pair of Sioux men's beaded moccasins. Bead design has red and purple x on center forefoot, with green background. White beading along edges with colored tepee like designs running upward from sole edges. Soles are sewn on with sinew. Front beaded tabs have red horsehair hanging from silver colored metal cones. Very worn condition. Donor states that moccasins were a gift from a teacher friend in 1965, and her grandfather had collected them from a trading post in Cody. 10.25" length x 4.50" across at instep. Left moccasin is missing leather tie.Collection
