Black & white print on cream colored mat. Image of about 30 men standing irregularly on & around a wood floor with large timber framing above. A series of pulleys, cables, ropes & chain are overhead & down to the floor. Most men are dressed in suits, ties, vests & hats but a few are in work clothes.
Typed on white adhesive tag: "Rawlins Water works"
Written in pencil on mat bottom: "Rawlins Water Works"
Written on back in yellow ink: "Property of M.V. Cook" Written on yellow post it note on back in pencil: "Rawlins Municipal Water Well S. of R.R. tracks in east Rawlins. Spouter struck at some + or - 3 cu ft. Aug. 1, 1891. Picture, first of two, taken by A. A. Brown, just after sprouting started. Mustached man wearing vest & holding beer mug is Ruby Rivera".
Good condition. Soiled front & back on mat, print rubbed, liquid stain, accretion, mat cut down & rough edges.Collection
