A copy of a water color depicting Fort Steele done by General de Trobriand, C.O. in 1873. It shows the Fort as seen from across the North Platte looking West, 11 1/2" x 6". Colors are light autumn tones, late afternoon. Picture shows fort and river as well as wagon being pulled by horses in distance.
Update 2009: Original: Image offset toward bottom; large black border on top edge.
Copy: Image centered top to bottom but offset to right side. Upper edge badly yellowed, other edges yellowing. Writing on back bleeding through to front in upper left. Upper right corner bent.Collection
