Description

Black & white print carte-de-visite. Image of a woman standing behind an upholstered chair with fringe on back & fringe tassel on side. Her hair is parted down the middle & pulled back flat against her head. She wears a dark long sleeve dress with a large "V" white collar & white cuffs at end of sleeves on dress. Buttons are below collar & she wears a necklace. Printed at bottom: "Moryson Dumfries" Printed on back: "Successor to James Rae: "Dumfries Moffat, Castle, Douglas & Lockerbie Studios" "Landscape, Marine" "Moryson Architectural & Animal Photographer" "All negatives taken by M. Rae are retained by me. Copies can always be had" Good condition. Soiled, scuffed.
