Inscription on wood above large center hole reads, "Mathieson."
Item is made of wood. It is long and rectangular with a large hole in the middle, fallowed by three small holes and either side. There is two small metal pieces on the middle sides of the item and two large metal rings on either the end of the item.
My uneducated guess is that the item could have been used for twisting wire or rope, keeping wire or rope from being tangled, or used on an animal pulling a cart or wagon. -Brittany ChurchwellInscription/Signature/Marks
