Color Notes

The handle of the mallet is made of tan wood with darken spots of wear, residue, and wood grain. There is off-white residue ingrained in the wood of the handle, more noticeably around the metal head, and mid-way up one side of the handle. The metal head is dark in color with concave and pitting areas from usage in which brown and red rust and residue has occurred. There is silver on the metal head from abrasions. The inside holes of the head where the leather is inserted into is red from red rot on the leather. The rawhide leather on the mallet is a tightly rolled round of leather that is frayed and expanded on the end of impact. The end of impact also has dirt and particle accumulation from use and wear. The inserted end has varying shades of red rot. The leather is harden with age.
