To be remembered. That on this day of December A.D. 1895, before me the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for said County of Multnomah, and State of Oregon, duly commissioned and qualified personally came Louis G. Clarke 2nd Vice President of the Portland Trust Company of Oregon whose names are subscribed to the forgoing instrument as parties thereto, and as 2nd Vice President and secretary of said company, both personally and known to me to be the individuals named and described in, and who executed the said instruments, and they severally acknowledged to me that he, the said Louis G. Clarke as 2nd Vice President, and he, the said E. J. Altstock as Secretary of the Portland Trust Company of Oregon, executed the foregoing instruments as and for the act and deed of said Portland Trust Company of Oregon, freely and voluntarily, and for the uses and purposes there in mentioned; and he, the said E. J. Altstock being by me duly sworn, did dispose and say that he is the ____ secretary of the Portland Trust Company, and resides at Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, that he is the legal custodian of, and is acquainted with, and has in his possession, the corporate seal of the Portland Trust Company of Oregon, that the seal affixed to the foregoing instrument in such corporate seal; that the same was so affixed by names _____ secretary of the said company, on the 26th day of December A.D. 1895, by order of the Board of Directors of the said company. and that he signed his name thereto the like order of the Board of Directors of said company, in witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official seal at Portland, Oregon, the date first above written. Know all men by these presents, that the Portland Trust Company of Oregon, a corporation duly organized and incorporated under the laws of the State of Oregon, in consideration at Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars to it paid by Christina Laurtsen, her heirs and assign forever, the following, described parcel of Real Estate, lying and being in the County of Multnomah, State of Oregon, to wit: Lot nineteen (19) in Block six (6) of Fremont Place according to duly recorded plot thereof together with tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances there to belonging , orin any wise appertaining; and also its estate , right, title and interest, at law and equality therein or thereto. To have and to hold the same to the said Christina Laurtsen her heirs and assigns forever. And said Christina Laurtsen, for herself, her heirs and assigns, covenants and agrees not to each on said premise a dwelling of less value than $1000.00. In witness whereof , said Portland Trust Company of Oregon, has by, resolution of its Board of Directors duly and legally adopted, caused these presents to be signed by its 2nd vice President and secretary and its corporate seal to be affixed this 26th day of December A.D. 1895.
