Be it known that pursuant to a directive of the Supreme Commander, in furtherance of the objects of this organization (to promote social and reunion features among its own members, to keep alive therein the spirit of optimism and humor so characteristic of the American Service Man, to service the hospitalized veteran and to support to the fullest the Veterans of Foreign Wars and its projects), this Perpetual Charter is issued to Gambolaers Pup Tent No. 21, Portland, Oregon, as evidence that the said Pup Tent has required number of Life Members to warrant this distinction.
