Description

1855 Singer Sewing Machine with Table. Table has black iron legs and a foot pedal that turns an iron wheel working the sewing machine. The top of the sewing machine table is a light wood. The top of the table has one drawer. The cover for the sewing machine is attached to the table and folds open and close around the sewing machine also creating a flat work space. The sewing machine itself is black with gold detailing and mother of pearl accents.

Transcription

The top of the sewing machine has a of dates that the sewing machine was patented. The last date on the list of 11 dates if Oct 9th 1855. The front of the sewing machine has a round gold makers mark that says, "The Singer MFG Co. N.Y. Trade Mark," with in image of needles and thread in the shape of an S. Below the makers mark is two numbers 310659 231639.
