Description

Hydraulic ram used to raise and lower the water level in the Cascade locks and canal for boat passage. The hydraulic ram has an egg shaped metal head that is is hallow for air pressure. On the base is a connection for a pipe and a outlet where water turns to steam. There is a small pipe 90 degrees from the flow pipe that could have been for an knob. Warning heavy item. Photographs were taken in exhibit to avoid lifting/moving of the item.

Metal is dark brown/black with tones of gray. The metal has rusted in places leaving it red, tan, with a white/teal bloom. Some portions of the ram have been painted red. There is also off-white paint residue.
