There are two vessels in the Columbia that have been landlocked by ice in the frozen river. In the image there is writing in the bottom left corner of the image that is printed on the image reading; "Pierce-Photo. 1790. Jan, 5, 1909." Back of image reads; "Sarah Dixon, Dalles City, Duplicate, A. H. Warren Sr. " Notes- Volunteers labeled items as "Duplicate" on photographs for images they wanted to create duplicates of.
