Description

Ceramic jugs owned by Chinese workers in the 1880-1990. These jugs referred to as Tiger Whiskey containers were manufactured for Chinese liquor. After usage they would be reused for other items like water, and oil. The containers themselves are dark in coloring often referred to as brown glaze stoneware, both jugs are two toned with a lighter stoneware color at the base and a darker black on the top. There are multiple cracks and breaks, some that have been adhered back together. One of the jugs has a manufactured mark in the shape of two triangles connected at the top forming an x shape but with closed ends.
