A legend. That's what we would all call Joe Rogers, the determined, competent and kind swim team coach who has been at CCB for more than 50 years. A longtime middle-school teacher, Joe transfers his skills and guidance to the hundreds of children who have learned to swim over the years. Joe not only teaches water skills; he teaches children how to listen to adults, to face fears, to compete with integrity and to just do it. Older teens jump back into swim meets just because Joe asked. He managed the aging pool facilities with mechanical know-how that has defied logic. With the 2025 pool renovation, it's hoped that this Legend can relax a bit more in front of Joe's Grill, named in his honor. And has anyone met the person who would dare to park in the Joe Rogers Reserved Parking Space?Category
