Zuber & Cie of Rixheim , France opened in 1805. It produced the Front Foyer wallpaper of historical Scenes of America. Vue d’ America du Norde was produced in 1843 by Jean- Sulien Deltil. This panoramic wallpaper is produced every 15 years. Steps are taken to refurbish and preserve it at CCB when it is needed to maintain this beautiful material. It is truly a treasure and adds so much beauty to our front entrance hall. This one important area is one that has not changed since 1926 .It has been installed in a number of other locations , of which the most noteworthy is the White House in 1961 in the Diplomatic Reception Room when Jacqueline Kennedy was First Lady .Artwork Details

The Zuber Company was sold in 2023 to Pierre Frey.Editions of the panoramic wallpaper are reproduced every 15 years .Water damage struck in 1962 to the wallpaper. It was replaced as two “ rolls” of the wallpaper were purchased in 1926 just in case a disaster like this was to strike.Created By
