A Poem titled "After the Squall" reads:
A crowd of Chelsea Hoodlums, down to Tunbridge came.
Bent on "raising the dickins", that seemed to be their game.
Yet through the entertainment, they all behaved quite civil.
But when we passed refreshments, they acted like the devil.
The food they stored away;
The sight would have made you _____?_____
They cleaned every plate and waiter, yet all the time calling for more.
And coffee too they drank;
As though they wished to try
And see if they could not
Drink good old Tunbridge dry.
