Alvah W. Whiney is the man sitting in the decorated carriage. He was born in Chelsea. The woman sitting is possibly Miss Mildred Jenks.
Photo was taken in the driveway between the brick house of Aaron Davis (Shire Inn) and the Churchill house in which Mr. Whitney lived. The house across the road is the Harvey Perigo house which he built. His daughter Emeline Perigo Waterson lived there. The Churchill-Whitney house was sold to the Aaron Davis descendants (by marriage) and was torn down in 1942.
