Vintage (late 19th century) glass baby bottle for nursing and feeding infants. Clear glass convex side bottle with cork stopper that has hole for glass tube or rubber hose. Bladder shaped with curved neck. Raised markings on jar are measurement for ounces from 1 to 8.Context
In the late 1800s a large variety of glass nursing bottles were produced in the United States. While some were of the type that could stand up straight on end, most of the turn of the century nursing bottles were designed to lie flat on their sides.
