Amidst the smoldering ruins, a gentleman (“Chet” Davis) appears to be surveying the damage from the November 2, 1916 fire at the Orange County Hotel. All that remained were the chimneys. The hotel was located at the corner of Maple Avenue and Main Street (Route 110). This also shows the boardwalk between the drug store and the hotel.
