The Made Baseball History 43 Years Ago Another baseball season has arrived but some old timers are still talling about the famed Chester team which captured the Orange County championship way back in 1905. Mortimer E. Pierce of Goshen, a member of the squad, brought this photo in for reproduction. Front row, left-to right, Jerry Eagen, William Littell, Bill Smith and L. G. Fitzgera1d. Standing, Harry Littell, Mr. Pierce, the Iate George Ryan, the late Charles Thompson, manager, the late Bill O’Brien, the late Fred Murray and John Hunter. Bill Littell and Bill Smith comprised the Chester battery. The photo was taken by H. W. Reed, October 7th, 1905
