This photo postcard depicts Durland Square, the business section of Upper Chester, N.Y., featuring early 20th-century automobiles, and a round horse watering trough in the middle of the intersection of Main St and Academy Ave. The address side of "Business Section, Upper Chester, Chester, N.Y." postcard with a handwritten message addressed to Miss Agnes McCann at the State Hospital in Middletown, New York. The postcard features two green one-cent stamps and postmarks from Manchester and Chester, including a date stamp from May 12, 1928. The message is written in elegant cursive, filling the space reserved for correspondence. This monochrome photo postcard was used in Village Centennial Book - marked Chapt X - 2
