chs-001315Description
This colorized photo postcard features the M.E. Church in Chester, N.Y., surrounded by lush greenery and bare trees, under a dusky sky. The scene exudes a serene, historical charm with the church's classic Greek Revivial architecture prominently displayed, including its white facade and simple, yet elegant steeple, contrasted by residential homes in the background. The reverse image shows an old postcard featuring a handwritten message, "Communications" printed at the top left along with a one-cent green stamp on the right that features Benjamin Franklin. An ink stamp with the date and time further decorates the stamp area. Part of the address is also visible, directing the card to Mr. Frank Mervine in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The card is filled with a personal message and includes the printed graphic of a Native American head, the logo of Artino Post Cards.Subject Person/Organization
