This monochrome photo postcard depicts the 1906 Public School building in Chester, New York, showing a large, two-story brick structure with a symmetrical facade featuring numerous windows, a central entrance topped by a pediment on columns, and a faintly visible American flag flying atop the building.
The other side of this postcard with handwritten script covering most of the left side, flipping the traditional layout as the space usually reserved for correspondence is filled with text and the address side contains only a small section for writing. The postcard is stamped with a red one-cent George Washington stamp, which is canceled with a postmark dated December 2, 1917, from Cheser, NY. The card is addressed to Mr. Fred H, Odell in Bloomingburg, Sullivan County, New York.Subject Person/Organization
