chs-014135Description
This vintage Christmas postcard features an idyllic snow-covered landscape with a quaint village, highlighted by a church or large building with a prominent bell tower in the background. Icicles hang from the top border, framing the serene scene, which includes a small frozen pond where a figure skates. Two other figures can be seen in the distance, adding to the peaceful, festive setting. Holly with red berries adorns the corners of the card, and the greeting "Heartiest Good Wishes for a Merry Xmas."
The reverse shows a vintage postcard dated December 19, 1911, featuring a green one-cent stamp on the right and handwritten cursive script across the majority of its surface. The postcard is addressed to Mrs. Sadie Hawkins of Chester, Orange County, New York, and includes a dedicated space for correspondence text that reads "Post Card."Subject Person/Organization
