Geographic features: 1769 Name - Current Name Long Pond - Greenwood Lake Round Pond - Round Lake Sugarlands Pond - Glenmere Lake Martha’s Rock - Constitution Island Crowndt Hill - Crows Nest Butler Hill - Strom King Mountain Buttermilk Falls - Popolopen Creek Explanation: The Red Lines Marked A, B, C, are a line representation of the/Lines marked with the same Letters on the Map annexed to the Petition of Arch. Brechen & others and include all the Lands petitioned for by them. The Lines stained Yellow represent the Lands intended to be patented by Arch. Brechen & others. The two tracts stained Red were surveyed ad lay’d out for Thomas Moore & John Osborn by Hamand? from Histate Excell’t H. Moore Brs. and this in turn made some time before M. Moores Caveat. The original is held by the New York State Library, Manuscripts and Special Collections.
