This colorized photo postcard shows the view of Chester, N.Y. from Oakland Ave. looking in a southerly direction starting with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The reverse side of this postcard dated August 24, 1909, features a green one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp and a postmark. The card is densely covered with handwritten cursive script in blue ink. The message, written in French on the left side, is designated for correspondence, while the right side, specified for the address only, contains Mademoiselle Marguerite Blondell's name and address in New York City.
