This colorized photo postcard shows a large red barn-like building labeled "Grange Store, Chester, N.Y." which was located at the intersection of Main Street and Kings Highway. The reverse features a handwritten message covering most of its surface. The card has a postmark stamped in the upper right corner, indicating it was mailed at 10 AM on August 25, 1914. The card is addressed to "Mr. Demerest, Contractor, Hurleyville, Sullivan Co., N.Y." The handwriting is cursive and there is a vertical line separating the message from the address.
