This colorized photo postcard captures the tranquil High Street, looking south, in Chester, N.Y., lined with lush trees and cozy homes. The reverse features a handwritten message from James O'Hara addressed to Miss Margaret Curtis of Jersey City, New Jersey. The card is stamped with a one-cent Benjamin Franklin stamp and postmarked March 20, 1905, in Chester, NY. The message mentions the sender was delighted with a visit, although brief, and anticipates meeting again the following year. The postcard itself is printed on Litho-Chrome, indicating it was manufactured in Germany.
