Area then called University Heights Later photos show school was built as proposed save for the entrance walk and fountain Last used as Chester’s High School in 1935. Occupied by Chester Cable 1945 - 1948 Destroyed by fire 1935 Chester Cable rebuilt on foundation Successor companies still occupy the site (25 Oakland Avenue): Alcetel Nexans Canada, Inc. Boys entrance was the ground level door on the left. Girls entrance was a matching door at the opposite end of the building. Proposed Chester Public School postmark: Chester, N.
