Front: In a village market scene are three different images of everyday life. On the lower left hand corner there is a scene where three men are conversing. One is sitting on a wooden bench while he is getting his hair cut and shaven, and the other man is crouched on his knees watching the scene take place. Near the center of the tradecard is another man dressed in yellow pushing a wheelbarrow with a mother and daughter as its passengers. Behind them are men and woman buying goods and talking to one one another. The notation "Van Houten's Cocoa" can be found on the lower right hand corner.
