Scope and Content

Front: Spanish merchants are looking over fresh poultry that a group of Indians are selling on the harbor where their ships are docks. Among the fresh poultry that the group is selling are wild turkeys and geese. Behind the men sits a brick wall and the entrance to the village. Highlighted in pink at the top is the following words: "Veritable Extrait De Viande De La Cie Liebig" and highlighted in green at the bottom is "La Volaille Dans La Vie De L'Homee-2.Des marchands espagnols importent la dinde chez eux (1520)." On the lower right hand corner is a picture of the product that is being advertised and its label. Back: Object ID# and more information about the product written in German.
