One side of the crate reads, "Choy Heong/Be [Pr]eserved/Made in China/Hong", another side reads, "6 Jars Ginger", and another side of the crate reads, "SF CAL CHIN". Choy Heong made and sold preserved ginger, and exported to the US, as early as the 1920s. Inside are brown-paper wrapped bundles of salmon colored gauze fabric and one package of fuschia colored fabric.
