Description

This baby walker, which also functioned as a stroller, has lost its stroller handle. The stroller/walker has four wheels, a brown metal footrest and frame, ivory colored wicker and brown metal backrest. Wooden handlebars. Between handlebars and seat is a brown metal tray. Metal restraints wrapped with black rubber. There are multicolor wooden beads on the restraints in front of seat and behind the tray. The seat is wooden and painted ivory with a maker's mark, in the form of a sticker, which reads, "Pal Baby Walker/A Product of the La Porte Corporation/La Porte, Indiana/U.S.A." and features an illustration of a smiling, waving baby, wearing diapers, sitting on and peddling a wheel.

Context

We think this may have been used by families in the Chinese community of Locke, California.
