"Items displayed in this carton were found and dug up by Kem Lee, C.H. Kwock, Stella Wong Lee, Charlie Leong, and H.K. Wong on a trip to Virginia City, Nevada, October 9, 1966. The relics were found among an old refuse pile of Virginia City's old Chinatown, once a thriving center of some 2,000 Chinese who worked as miners, woodcutters, servants, etc., with its own stores and a place of worship. The old Chinatown was located between Washington and Sutton Streets, and F and G Streets in Virginia City's Lower Town. Item: 1. Portion of an old Chinese food jar. 2. Portion of a Chinese porcelain rice bowl. 3. Portion of an old grinding wheel. 4. An old wooden core. 5. A leather binder. 6. An iron handle with wooden block. 7. A plain iron handle. 8. A doorhinge. 9. An iron piece."
