Scope and Content

Front: In this tradecard there are three people, a civilian, a soldier and a judge in the scene. The civilian is on his knees bowing down towards the judge who is reading a scroll with Chinese characters and an official seal on it. The soldier who is carrying a long sword, meanwhile, is holding the scroll while standing behind the civilian. On the bottom of the tradecard on the white border is the following notation: D. Hutinet, Paris. The advertisement stamped at the top of the tradecard is for the following: Ed. Pinaud's Perfumery 37 Boulevard de Strasbourg-Paris Back: Object ID #, Old Accession #: A)- and a chart illustrating Ed. Pinaud store specialities and the location for his New York Branch.
