Front: In black and white, the scene of a Chinese Butcher and Grocery Shop is illustrated. Divided into two section is a store front with the left side housing vegetables and goods, while on the right side is the butcher's stand were meat is left out dangling and drying, and fish and other products are resting on a table getting ready to be chopped. Three men are illustrated in the picture. Near the steps to the store is the shopkeeper and to his right are two butchers wearing white aprons. One standing near the shopkeeper and the other behind the table of meat.
The words "Chinese Butcher & Grocery Shop-San Francisco" can be found near the center of the tradecard on the outside of the bottom border.
