This scrapbook is filled with newspaper articles chronicling the many programs and activities that the Church of the Red Rocks Women’s Fellowship conducted between September 1977 and May 1978. Some of the speakers featured included Robert J. Eggert, Economist, and Mrs. Bell, Executive Director of the Verde Valley Community Guidance Clinic. Church of the Red Rocks was host to men and women from 10 member churches of the Verde Valley Unit, Church Women United who gathered to celebrate World Day of Prayer.
Rev. Alice Snow received the “Good Neighbor Award sponsored by Livingston Realty in October 1978. The Women’s Fellowship held their annual Christmas Tea and helped with the dedication of the addition of a new office, meeting room, classrooms and study. They held a Dessert and Fashion Show in the Spring and contributed to the celebration of Rev. Snow’s 5th anniversary at the Church of the Red Rocks.
A Scholarship was set up to honor Rev. Alice Snow. Gladys and Willis Percy, grateful for Alice’s ministry at the Church of the Red Rocks and appreciative of the training she received at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Centre, Mass. In 1934, have channeled through the Church of the Red Rocks and the Southwest Conference funds to create a continuing scholarship.Publication Details
