First Canemah School, Rear View. 1896
Mrs. William Mulvey (Alice Shannon) went to school in this school house in 1890. Kate Porter had been engaged to teach the school in 1890. There were too many pupils for one teacher so Minnie Howell was engaged to teach the first two grades. A little hall at the back was used for these two grades. Alice Shannon was then a first grader.
Three copies found in collection and consolidated here. #2008.008.049.005, S.1255.04195, and 2014.002.037.033.
