"Crimson clover seed field - Reed Jagger Farm Carus early 1940s. The mass of crimson blossom heads are striking to behold. Crimson clover sead production got underway during the 1930's depression years. A ready market was found in the cotton belt states. Demand has been fairly constant at least up to 1958 when this caption was made. J.J. Inskeep"
