Description

U.S. Government Fish Hatchery at Carver (Stone). Located on the south side of the Clackamas River, near Clear Creek. Built in the late 1870s. The first superintendent was Livingston Stone; the settlement of Stone (Carver) is said to be named in his honor. Stone's (Carver's) 1st post office was in this building.
