This dress was worn by Mrs. Lulu Johnson Fielder at the dedication of the Freedom Fountain in 2001. Fielder, 102 years old at the time, was the first person to drink from the fountain, which is located at the northeast corner of the Clay County Courthouse lawn. The fountain memorializes the contributions of 150 black Clay County citizens.
