Name/Title
Pysanki - Hester BrooksDescription
Pysanki are eggs decorated for Easter in Ukraine and other eastern European counties. In around 1980 there was a store called Montague off the parking lot on Walden Street. I had long admired decorated eggs, so when I saw the craft kit there, I bought it. After Montague's closed, I ordered replacements from The Ukrainian Gift Shop in Minnesota. I have decorated eggs every spring since with family members and neighbors. Some have been decorated to reflect a special occasion or interest, and I have shared them with many friends and relatives. My hand isn't as steady as it once was, but I still love the tradition.Material

Bob and I moved to Conantum in 1967 with our three children, Katie (now called Tansy...it's a long story), Montserrat and Nico. Bob died in 2015. I still live in the house on The Valley Rd. and the kids, their children and grandchildren love visiting here.
