Note

Anne Mattill was a highly skilled teacher, artist and craftsman who experimented in many media including metalworking (jewelry); textiles (clothing, domestic linens, quilting) and paper collage (see separate entry). She was best known in Conantum for her Christmas card designs that began as she and husband John waited for their Heaths Bridge Road house to be completed. More broadly in Concord she was recognized for her decades as the designer of the Toy Shop window displays and the monthly Children's Room murals at the Concord Library.
