Western Saddle - Hugo Logemann

Name/Title

Western Saddle - Hugo Logemann

Description

Western saddle (on a sawhorse, with flood lamp lighting to enhance lights and darks). Son of an architect, Hugo Logemann Jr. enjoyed an opportunity to take artist Ramon Froman's Basic Drawing art class with his daughter, Lois Anne, while living in Cloudcroft, NM during the summer of 1963. A similar drawing is also submitted by Lois. Hugo's eye for design was well represented at #178 HBR: a panelled glass overhang above the front door landing that Carl Koch admired; field stone wall built to define curved front yard landscaping; patio retaining wall; hand-built dining area buffet unit with shelves and interior drawers & tray storage, narrow shelves for wine glasses opposite an outside DR wall to create a larger space etc.
