Western Saddle - Lois WhitneyDescription
Charcoal Drawing.
During the summer of 1963, while I lived in Cloudcroft, NM with my parents Hugo and Pennie Logemann, my Dad and I enjoyed taking a Basic Drawing class with Ramon Froman. The final class project was a charcoal drawing of a Western saddle placed on a sawhorse and lit with a flood lamp to emphasize lights and darks of the subject matter. My husband Alan grew up in Cheyenne, WY and when we got engaged, I gave him my Western Saddle drawing that Alan and his Dad framed using corral fencing wood from the Whitney's small dairy farm. A similar drawing is also submitted by Lois' father, Hugo, as they took the drawing class together.Type of Drawing
